We did it — together! Thanks to your donations, the tireless work of LIVET VIL VINNE volunteers, and our partnership with Ukraine Frontline Emergency Aid, two ambulances have now been purchased. Both vehicles are being prepared for the long journey: technical service, equipment checks, paperwork and logistics.
Geithusdagen is the annual community festival in Geithus (Modum), organised by Geithus VEL. Families, clubs and associations meet for stands, tastes, activities and volunteering. This year, Veldedig HjelpeSenter for Sigdal — Livet vil vinne took part with a warm, open stand to raise support and build community around Ukraine.
The Gå på tur hiking club at Livet vil vinne Stavanger began in early 2025 to get outdoors, discover Norway together and build a community where everyone matters. So far we’ve walked 12 km to Utstein Monastery, visited Fjøløy Lighthouse, tried kayak/canoe on Stokkavatnet, and cheered biathlon stars at the Blinkfestival in Sandnes. We’re open to new participants — come to unwind, make friends and explore. Organizers: Olga Stepushyna and Volodymyr Stepushyn.
Art therapy by Livet vil vinne began on 26 March. After a summer break, sessions resumed on 26 August at a new location — Langgata 76, Sandnes. It’s an open, safe space for creativity and recovery, led by volunteers Olga Bondarchuk and Oksana Kostrytsia.
Ukrainian communities in the municipalities of Sunnfjord, Kinn and Askvoll, in cooperation with the association Livet vil vinne, held a celebration of Ukraine’s Independence Day.
On 23 August 2025, Livet vil vinne (Veldedig HjelpeSenter for Bærum) brought Ukrainians and Norwegians together in Bærum to mark Ukraine’s Flag Day and Independence Day — an evening of dignity, freedom and community.
22 August 2025 in Stange (Norway) the city festival took place with a concert and a market. Our volunteers in Stange secured the last available spot — and in half a day and half a night prepared Ukrainian treats to exchange for donations.
In Kristiansand, the Livet vil vinne team organized a Borscht Festival. The event brought together local residents and tourists, introduced Norway to Ukrainian cuisine and culture, and helped raise funds for humanitarian aid.
Our regional unit Veldedig HjelpeSenter for Sigdal has launched an official Spleis fundraiser under the association Livet vil vinne. The goal is to provide creative lessons and workshops for children and teens in a safe, friendly environment, and to deliver humanitarian aid to families in need.
At the annual Sigdal Community Day (Bygdedagen) in Sigdal Museum (Prestfoss), our team Livet vil vinne – Veldedig HjelpeSenter for Sigdal hosted a Ukrainian stand. Sun, children’s laughter, warm talks and heartfelt support — the kind of moments a community is built on.
The relief center Livet vil vinne in Nore og Uvdal supports refugees and people in need — in Norway and in Ukraine. The center was established by the association Livet vil vinne; lead — Svіtlana Tiutiunnik.
In Kinn municipality, the Livet vil vinne team hosted a colourful Children’s Day (Barnas Dag). Guests were greeted by costumed characters and a photo corner. Everyone enjoyed all-ages activities — games, circle dances and creative workshops. We served home-baked treats, cotton candy, coffee and tea, plus sandwiches with salo (Ukrainian cured pork fat). The atmosphere was warm, friendly and very cozy.
