22 August 2025 in Stange (Norway) the city festival took place with a concert and a market. Our volunteers in Stange secured the last available spot — and in half a day and half a night prepared Ukrainian treats to exchange for donations.
How it started. A place opened up at the last moment — our volunteers took it immediately. Fast coordination, shopping, baking, packing, logistics. By morning the table was ready — with the aroma of home baking and a feeling of home.
At the stand. We didn’t just serve home-baked goods and coffee — we talked about Ukraine, about people who persevere, and about how everyone can help. Visitors stopped by, tasted, asked questions, shared stories — and came closer to us.
Despite the weather. Wind and short showers reduced footfall, not determination. There were fewer visitors, yet every conversation was sincere. We raised funds for humanitarian aid and — most importantly — made it clear that Livet vil vinne is present in Stange.
What it gave. New contacts and friends, new ideas for joint events — and a reminder that even with little time and limited resources you can create something that unites.
Join us — now. If you live anywhere in Norway and want to contribute, join Livet vil vinne. You can:
-
give time at stands and events;
-
bake for the market;
-
help with logistics (packing/transport);
-
share skills: photography, design, communications, event management.
Click “Become a volunteer” on our website — we’ll get in touch. Every helping hand matters.
Thanks. Our thanks to everyone who handled preparations and shifts. Special thanks to Inna, Tetiana and Antonina for responsiveness, perseverance and the warm atmosphere at the stand.
