12.09 late in the evening, our van lit up the yard in Malm (Steinkjer municipality). One by one, wheelchairs and rollators were loaded inside. Each of them is someone’s tomorrow: the chance to reach a doctor, step out into the yard, hug loved ones without pain. This is the first major shipment from Veldedig HjelpeSenter for Steinkjer kommune (Livet vil vinne) — and it’s heading to Ukraine.
What we collected
-
wheelchairs (including models with specialised headrests);
-
rollators/walking frames of various types;
-
associated rehabilitation aids.
All equipment was carefully checked, cleaned and prepared for the journey.
Who made this possible
We believe in the power of partnership. Today we want to say a big thank you to everyone involved:
-
Norsk Folkehjelp Steinkjer — represented by Walfred Andersson. He donated the main part of the wheelchairs and rollators.
-
Blikkenslager Tommy Belsaas AS — for an additional wheelchair and warm support.
-
Malm Norsk Folkehjelp — for cooperation and trust.
-
Public Organization “KOVALI” — for free distribution across Ukraine. Coordination by Nataliia Yevplova — a big thank-you to her for the help.
-
Kateryna Kodenchuk — for free logistics within Norway.
Where the aid is going
The recipient in Ukraine is Leonid Koshelenko (city of Piatykhatky, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast). He will deliver the equipment to the local hospital and to people who need it most.
We will add a photo report upon receipt below on this page — so everyone can see how your support turns into real help.
