A Day Filled with Compassion
In the center of Stange municipality, a very special atmosphere unfolded. Under Norwegian and Ukrainian flags, volunteers from the organization Livet vil vinne gathered to host a charity event in support of Ukraine.
Ukrainian Flavors as a Symbol of Unity
A blue tent was set up and decorated with traditional embroidery and flags. On the tables lay a true taste of Ukraine: pies with various fillings, pancakes, sweets, and a large cake decorated with raspberries and blueberries in the shape of the Norwegian flag. The cake became a strong symbol of unity between the two nations that day.
The Generosity of Stange Residents
Residents stopped by to taste the pastries, take photos and – most importantly – make donations. Some contributed a few kroner, others sent larger amounts via Vipps, but every single gift carried great significance.
— “Every krone is a step closer to saving a life in Ukraine. We believe that even the smallest contribution can change a greater story,” shared the volunteers with visitors.
How the Funds Will Be Used
All donations will go to support those most affected by the war: the sick, the wounded, and people in extremely difficult life situations. The money will be used for medicines, treatment, and other urgent assistance.
An important part of this fundraising is also supporting the purchase of the next ambulance for Ukraine. Every new ambulance means a chance to save dozens of lives, transport the wounded to hospitals, and help doctors work under extremely challenging conditions.
Gratitude from Livet vil vinne
The initiative in Stange once again showed that compassion and solidarity know no borders. In a small Norwegian municipality, people came together to bring warmth and hope to those far away.
The organization Livet vil vinne extends heartfelt thanks to both the volunteers and the residents of Stange who took part in the event: to those who baked, to those who bought, and to those who simply stopped by to share a word of support.
